Members of each of the seven Theme Panels meet at least twice a year to put forward ideas for conferences, consider proposals from within their field of expertise and to highlight to the Meetings Board areas of hot science that should be considered for inclusion in the conferences programme. The Theme Panels also develop interdisciplinary activities and collaborate with appropriate sister societies.

The Meetings Board and Theme Panels welcome suggestions for Biochemical Society Conferences from all members of the research community. If you have an idea for a conference, and wish to have an informal discussion with a member of a Theme Panel, you are encouraged to contact that member. If you wish to submit a formal proposal for a meeting, please complete the relevant form and send it to meetings@biochemistry.org.
